Deviance is kicking off our monthly (non-rope) education series again! First up is our very own @StardustNStories with Intro to Impact Play. This class will endeavor to cover the basics of this type of play from planning the scene all the way thru aftercare. The structure of the class will be presentation with a demo followed by a Q&A session.

This class will cover:

• The differences in preparing for a scene for private play vs pick up play

• Negotiating the scene and establishing safe words/gestures

• The top's responsibility vs the bottom's responsibility in the scene

• How I curate a scene and how I make decisions on the structure of the scene

• Maintaining presence

• The importance of the warm up

• The types of tools/toys I use for Sensation play vs Impact Play

• The importance of training with your tools beforehand and how I practice

• The differences body positioning has on perception and intensity

• Reading body language - how I adapt the scene as it's happening based on observations

• How to handle a bad strike or a mistake

• How I finish, cool down, and release a scene

• Subspace and Topspace

• The importance of aftercare, sub drop vs top drop, and debriefing your scene

Bonus topic (time permitting) - some ideas of integrating Impact into other types of play
